GSMST's Student Council is an award winning and nationally-recognized Student Council of Excellence whose mission is to serve the student body and community. Composed of 26 total members from all four classes, the council works to represent their class needs and to work for the improvement of the school culture and environment.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We plan and coordinate events throughout the school year and help sponsor other events, such as NAHS's yearly Festival of Trees and other initiatives throughout the school year. If you have any suggestions as to what student council could do to improve your experience, feel free to contact us on this website and at any of our social media accounts.

The Georgia Association of Student Councils is an organization that brings together all the student governments from high schools and middle schools across the state. It is a great opportunity for students to grow their leadership skills and bring back good ideas to their own school.
GASC helps with many charities every year, such as Bert's Big Adventure, a charity that takes terminally ill children to Disneyland. Each year they get student councils to take up fundraising projects so they can send proceeds to the charity of their choice.
In years past GSMST had the chance to operate as the District 1 representatives, allowing our student council the opportunity to guide the largest district in the state of Georgia. We hosted a leadership summit at our school in order to raise money for charity, grow leadership skills for all attending, and improve the Georgia high school community.
If you have any question feel free to contact any of your GASC Representatives.
