what is stuco discussing?
Meeting minutes describe the events of the meeting and may include a list of attendees, a statement of the issues considered by the participants, and related responses or decisions for the issues.
What went well?
What went poorly?
How do we improve this?
Mighty Monday (music)
The Just Dance worked in first lunch. Lots of non-StuCo people worked in the morning as greeters, and it went very well. The music worked!
Music was a failure at lunch because there were a lot of tech issues. The microphone wasn’t working, so it was awkward because Lama was screaming. Admin doesn’t like when people scream in the cafeteria. Since people were wearing stuco shirts, it was hard for people at lunch to join in on the Just Dance.
We should have reminders for people who have certain roles (learning from Emily forgetting about her Emcee role). We should have a not-so-engaging activity for Monday’s activity (bringing shy people up to dance is difficult). Flash friday on Monday. Set the atmosphere (littness of the school and stuff). Help monday Freshman seating
Many people participated in kahoot. Some people really liked the prize (comic book). The prize was relevant to the event, so it was really cute. Chill day, but overall successful Also, the Tuesday committee was really put-together. The questions were really good (lots of reactions).
Second lunch had so much participation that the Kahoot crashed? There was not much participation is second lunch after the crash.
Nothing you can do about technology issues sometimes
Wakanda Wednesday (scavenger hunt)
The prize was really good. The flyer was cute asf.
ANYWAY, we did a lot better than Where’s Waldo Wednesday.
Not a lot of participation. The email sent out was not very engaging. Should have put instructions in email, not direct somewhere else.
Should have advertised more effectively Many people were not willing to post on their feed. Freshman didn’t have emails yet so the scavenger hunt was kinda difficult. It should’ve been more inclusive. People also prefered to dm the StuCo ig account directly. There was not enough time for some students to complete scavenger hunt in a day.
We NEED better advertisements and fliers. We could possibly put fliers on teachers’ doors and bathroom doors. We could’ve also has fliers passed out in Advisement or during schedule pick up. Maybe have a fake drawing to keep the hype up.Maybe have the pictures submitted through DMs or snapchat. Follower Raffle/Comment chain. Week long scavenger hunt. Sync each day of the week with a different task. Drawing on Friday. Word of mouth to advertise. Put social media flyer in student orientation packet. Advertise the scavenger hunt during summer. Share email with rest of committee.
Thorsday (submit a photo of a friend)
So much participation. Super super cute <3. We should have more throughout the year. Lots of good responses. The juniors were super hyped. Showcased better part of our school
Michelle K. needed way more help when preparing the powerpoint, so more members had to help her out in the end.
Make sure more people are working to make the slides from the beginning (better communication and teamwork). Do scrolling stuff more than just once during the year.
Flash friday (flash mob)
Defied Mrs. Fowlers expectations. There was a lot of yelling, screaming, and outside participation. Many people enjoyed it.
Needed more rehearsal. Should have met up before the day of. The photobooth on Wednesday overshadowed the photobooth on Friday, and many did not know that the things hung up was the photo booth. Also, the flash mob and the photo booth wasn’t very cohesive. Music wasn’t loud enough. Photobooth and flashmob not really cohesive.
Start rehearsals earlier. The photobooth needs to be better. Only have a photobooth for one day in the week. Louder speakers. Also, use the right cha-cha.
GOOD JOB :P Banner was super pretty. The advertisement was pretty.
Poor planning? There were lots of last minute changes.
Allllways room to improve.” The journey was hard, but the outcome was worth it.”
